The rooms

Four rooms, each with its own kind of quiet.

Three individually styled bed-and-breakfast rooms, including a ground-floor option, together with the spacious Hayloft above the former stables. Each has its own outlook and character.

How to choose

Every room is the whole house, seen from a slightly different window.

They all share the same linen, the same real beds, the same soft evening quiet. What changes is the view outside, and the corner of the house you wake up in.

Cobstone

Cobstone sits on the ground floor with its own private patio, looking west across the garden to the wildlife pond. In the evening it catches the last of the sun, and in the morning it's the quietest corner of the house to wake up in.

The bed can be made up as a super king or two singles — tell us what you'd like when you book.

Pratchett

Pratchett is our most romantic room, with high vaulted ceilings and a spacious bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and a free-standing tub. The bedroom window looks south across open fields to the village church.

It's the room guests keep coming back for. If you tell us it's a special stay, it's usually the one we suggest.

The Hayloft

Above what were once the stables of The New Inn, the Hayloft has been carefully converted into our largest guest accommodation, with a spacious bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom and a cosy snug tucked beneath the beams.

It faces east towards the Ridgeway and west over the garden, catching the light at both ends of the day. It's the accommodation to choose for a longer stay, or when you'd like the privacy of your own quiet floor.

Robin

Robin is a large room with a Juliet balcony and a separate second sleeping area — restful for a solo traveller or couple, but flexible enough to sleep four adults on singles, or a family of four (one adult with up to three children, or two adults with two children).

The bathroom is one of the biggest in the house: double sink, walk-in shower and the original cast-iron bath tub.
